Who I am professionally. I have been teaching since 2001 with almost all of those years in Frontier. I was a Reading Specialist and have worked as a classroom teacher in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I have NYS certifications in Elementary pre-K through 6th grade, Reading, and English 7-12.
Who I am personally. I live in Hamburg with my husband, Rich, and our dogs. We have two daughters, Emily and Jennifer, who also attended Frontier. Emily graduated in 2013 and is the Women's Lacrosse coach at Hilbert College. Jennifer graduated in 2017 and currently lives in Cincinnati, finishing her doctorate in clinical psychology.
I love teaching! Rest assured, I treat all of my students like they are my own. I always keep in my mind, "How would I want my daughter treated?" However, as any parent knows, I'm not perfect and I do make mistakes. I emphasize with students that it's OK to make mistakes but we also must learn from them.
